Some progress -

Once I decided what I was going to do -

I quilted the top three rows -

In alternating directions -

I decided against diagonal rows -

And just did back and forth horizontal and vertical lines -

Then advanced the quilt and did the next three rows -

The wavy lines worked well in the star blocks -

But I lost my "pattern" as I went along -

So I simplified some areas with fewer direction changes -

NOTE TO SELF -
Don't get fancy with direction changes -
You'll just confuse yourself - LOL -

Anyway -

I only have six more rows to go -

So I should be able to finish it up tomorrow - ;))

Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Very nice!!! I like the back and forth lines in the squares. It does play nicely against the wavy lines.

I have one of the chalk holders that fits the chalk sticks in them. I have one in white and one in colors. I mark all my directions and changes on the quilt with them to keep me straight. Like what you are doing. I just can't quilt through whole blocks, so figure out some kind of work around.

I take photos to remember. The worst is when I do top borders and then quilt like 7 passes to get to the bottom border. By then, even if it is just one day, I've quilted a lot and can't always remember what I did. Photos help...and bonus, you can use them on the blog! But this is looking great. And who cares if the quilting differs? Let the quilt police slog it out later...I imagine one like this being found 100 years in the future, leaving folks scratching their heads about why we did what we did. Hahahaha!
