Squirrel's Batik Brother #2 is done -
And a nice surprise -
I decided that I wanted the Dark Blue to be the Star -
But then I wasn't sure about the Green blending into the Background -
But I like it!! - ;))
These are the ones I pulled for the next block -
Normally I would choose the Star color first -
But some of these Fat Quarters are a bit larger than "normal" and come out to 19" x 23" -
Which is really nice when I'm trying to squeeze ALL of the pieces that I need out of one Fat Quarter -
And since I have had to re-cut some of the Background pieces -
And that's the one with the most pieces -
I decided this time to go with the longest one for the Background -
And the shortest one for the Star -
So stay tuned -
I should have it done in time to post it tomorrow - ;))
And I know I really should come up with another name for this one -
but I kinda like -
Squirrel's Batik Brother-
Because that's exactly what it is - LOL - ;))
Talk to you later - gotta go - gotta sew -

Love the new star. You and your squirrels lol.
Some of mine, due to my fat quarters being a bundle, were less contrast-y, but in the end, it all turned out well. I'm trying to motivate myself to go take a photo of the top do I can post before I have to work today. But it's already hot outside...like 80 and its 9am!
I really like that block and the selection for the next one is gorgeous too.
Oh my! I'm really liking these and I like the next fabric pull too.
